National Poetry Month Wrap-Up Gathering in St. Augustine
St. Augustine PoetFest, Edition Three was a big success. Offering a free and open to all literary gathering is an outpouring that can only happen everyone pulls together and chips in. Poets from as far as San Diego and Maine traveled to St. Augustine to savor the local Johns County literary scene. They stayed in hotels and airbnbs and toured local attractions and frequented local restaurants. Ensuring an equal exchange, local poets and poetry lovers donated their time transporting the traveling poets and well as sharing their talents at the mic.
Staying true to our craft, we will gather on the last Sunday of April to celebrate Florida poets and More. Jump on the poetry train of thought and action. Lend a hand if you can.
FLORIDA POET SPOTLIGHT SERIES AT THE WATERWORKS
Florida Beat Poet Laureate Chris Bodor announces "Floetry from the Waterworks", a monthly event featuring poets from North and South Florida and everywhere in between.

April 28, 2024 Tony Ehrlich and Volusia County Poet Laureate David B. Axelrod followed by half hour / five slot open mic
Each of the eight gatherings will start with a half hour feature, including author meet & greet with book signing, followed by one hour community open mic. This series is free and open to all thanks to St. Augustine PoetFest, St. Johns Cultural Council, and the City of St. Augustine.
